Big new games out and new project

Hey All, we're very pleased to let you know that two big games now have Falcon support - Last week Counter Strike: Source support for the Falcon was released, and today Battlefield 2 support was released. These are a couple of the biggest online games ever, so we're very excited to have Falcon support for them.

Also, Novint announced today that we got a new SBIR subcontract to develop an XBox 360 rehabilitation application.

  1. Good to hear that. I'm just curious whether there will be a support for other AAA games like BioShock, CoD 4 or Left 4 Dead 2 in the future.

  2. We're about to release our F-Gen drivers alpha version which will allow the Falcon to work with all games. The bigger games like you mention, we'll work on adding in additional forces as well, so we can get most of the way there on games, even if we don't have source code access.

    thx, tomnovint

  3. Until now I've just tested Falcon with L4D, TF2, Portal, HL2, FEAR and Crysis. The best control feeling is in HL2 and Portal. These games have also the most easy to play learning curve. For multiplayer games like TF2 or L4D I have to learn a lot more. But Portal and HL2 is awesome with Falcon.

  4. yep, the learning curve on the online games (as they are more competitive) is higher, but we've consistently heard from our users that with enough time put in, they meet and surpass their mouse skills, so the time is worth it. thx, tomnovint

  6. the falcon sounds great but where are they for sale? the site gives no ETA for a new shipment of falcons, apparently at the same time i get the nearly $200 to spend on it.

  7. Falcons are only for sale on our site. We are temporarily out of stock, but should have some back in stock in a week or so. thx, tomnovint

  8. Where is the BF2 download? The site lists it on the main page but that leads to an informational page and the BF2 update is not listed in the download section.

  10. Is the patch still in beta? EA's site is really horrible and I had to search all over to find the version I found (1.5bv2)

I'm hoping there's an updated one because the Falcon isn't working to aim in the version I've got, I can shoot, and move forward/back/strafe with it, but not up/down/left/right to aim.

  11. I apologize I didn't post this comment before now - it slipped through the cracks, and I just now realized I hadn't posted it.

the 1.5 patch does include Falcon support. Please see this thread to fix the issue you're having.
